Education Advancement Montessori School Code of Conduct for Staff
- Be punctual to School, class and school activities.
- Teachers’ resumption time is 7.00am and closing time is 4.00pm. Teacher on special duty resumes 6.00am for the period of special duty.
- Be neat and decently dress at all times.
- Mondays colour for staff are white tops with suit and Wednesdays are Sky blue tops with suit.
- Do not receive visitors during school hours (except on emergencies)
- Do not make or receive call while teaching in the class.
- No over familiarity or unhealthy relationship with the pupils.
- No property or fund of the school should be taken out of the premises without due authorisation.
- No fighting or harsh exchange of words by among or between any staff in the school premises.
- No stealing of school or colleagues properties
- No smoking, No consumption of alcohol within school premises.
- Corporal punishment is not allowed in the school. Do not inflict bodily harm on pupil while instilling discipline.
- No absence from duty without due permission.
- No financial transactions on behalf of the school without due authorisation.
- Any notice on the body of any pupil (for example, white hairs, long nails, weird hairs black spot and so on) must not be cut or remove by teachers or any staff without school management or parent permission.
- No loitering around by any staff. All teachers are expected to be in their classes rooms at all times.
- No interruption of teachers during classes.
- No Pidgin English by any staff in the school premises.
- Do not place pressure on parents for favour or assistance.
- Hard drugs are not allowed in the school premises.
- Pornographic materials are not allowed in the school premises.
- Weapons are not allowed in the school premises.
- Cliques and union activities are not allowed in the school premises.
- No granting of interviews to press on behalf of the school without management authorisation.
- Respect and regard for constituted authority is not negotiable.
- Staff must protect the interest of the school at all time.
- Do not divulge school’s confidential information to third parties.
- Do not use school properties (stationeries, marker, sisters, buses and so on) for private purpose.
- Do not engage bias, favouritism and double standard. Treat all pupils equally, justly and fairly.
- All complaints from parent must be addressed within 24 hours. Do not keep parents complaints unattended to.
- Be safety and security conscious at all times. Report any hazard or unsafe condition to management as soon as you notice them.
- All staff are required to engage in the enrolment process every session; minimum of 4 pupils per session for teaching staff and minimum of 8 pupil for headmaster and finance/administrative officer.
- No staff shall be disengaged as a result of inability to enrol pupil only.
- One month notice is required in case of disengagement as staff or one month salary in lieu of notice.
Note: The school management has absolute right to penalised any offenders in any form (which include but not limited to queries, dismissal, suspension, salary deduction and so on) as the case may require. This code of conduct shall be subject to period review and you will be informed accordingly.
